Strums n Hums is a 13-piece live singalong band based in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, playing Tamil and English songs the whole room can sing along to. Available for weddings, college fests, corporate events, private parties and cafe nights across Coimbatore, Chennai, Erode and Tamil Nadu.
An open mic, one café. We all came to perform, and left as something else entirely.
None of us walked in that night looking for a band. We came to play our own sets, to a small room in Coimbatore with the coffee machine still running behind us. By the end of the evening we weren’t strangers any more. The music did that, not us.
What we found first was a bond. Then a vision, and the like-mindedness to chase it: the same restlessness, the same stubborn idea of how a room should feel when the music lands. So we started manifesting the stages we wanted to be standing on, and playing for the people who love music the way we do.
That is still the whole job. Creating connection through music, every set, every room, every time. And here we are. Strums n Hums.
